Your apps run on Akash Network compute nodes, and your assets/data are stored on Filecoin. We provide the developer experience — CLI, dashboard, preview deployments — so you never have to touch a blockchain directly.
The developer experience is very similar: push-to-deploy, automatic HTTPS, preview URLs per branch, environment variables. The key differences are (1) your app runs on a decentralized network — no single company can shut it down, (2) prices are 60–80% lower, and (3) your data is stored on Filecoin's permanent, cryptographically-verified storage instead of S3.
No. Cypherbase abstracts all the blockchain complexity. You deploy with `cypher deploy`, same as any PaaS. We handle the Akash lease bidding, Filecoin CID management, and wallet operations in the background. You can optionally bring your own wallets for more control.
